Thank You Letters From the Troops |
||
| Just wanted to thank you guys for the two care packages that you guys sent me a couple of weeks ago.
They reached us fine. We don't have much of a PX here, so your care packages were much appreciated by the platoon. Thanks for all your efforts! Sincerely, Jeffrey
| Just wanted to say thanks for the package I received. I watched the "Lets' Say Thanks" DVD and was overwhelmed by the displays of patriotism and concern for our military. I'm constantly amazed at the level of continued support from people like you considering we've been at war for 8 years. Thanks again and God bless you.
Ross | ||
| Ed and Tom,
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I did receive your package and the soldiers enjoyed and used everything that was sent. Such generosity and thoughtfulness from people like yourself make it so much more easier for soldiers to deal with the stresses of being in a combat zone and being away from their loved ones. It is selfless acts like this that make all of you "GREAT AMERICANS" and every service member recognizes and are proud to have people like you supporting them while they perform their duties. Thanks again, Gary
| Ed/Tom, I received three care packages today from Operation Jersey Cares. They were well received by the Marines and Sailors. You and team of professionals are doing a fantastic job and we really appreciate everything. Thanks again for your support. | ||
| Mr. Blackwelder/Mr. Cunningham, I want to thank you for the several boxes we have received here. Your kindness and generosity in supporting us here is a HUGE morale builder and we appreciate all of the items you have been sending our way. In fact, the items go pretty quickly as many of the troops here appreciate and are in need of the basic supplies. I hope all is well back home and again we appreciate your support!! Our thanks to all in your local communities that support us as well!! I will send some pictures next time of the troops going through the various boxes. Thanks again. Sean | ||
|
Ed and Tom, Peace be with you! I want to thank you both and all those involved in sending all the boxes to the soldiers and service members here. We have a huge footprint here and cover many of the service members who are here. It makes a tremendous difference to so many who otherwise may not get anything from stateside to know that there are so many people back home who care for them. I will be able to get this all out to a number of locations where the troops will most certainly be able to enjoy the generosity of the folks there who have given so much. Again, thank you on behalf of all of us here! Ken
|
Ed, I am relaying special thanks for Jeffrey being a recipient of your wonderful boxes. His dad just came to me with much appreciation as Jeffrey emailed him. Thank you. Patty
| Dear Ed & Tom, Thank you and everyone at Operation Jersey Cares for their support these past ten months. The numerous packages you guys have sent have brought a lot of smiles to several Soldiers. It's good to know that despite being at war for last ten years, there still people back home who have not forgotten about the servicemen overseas. My unit is currently in the sixty day window to redeploy and we may not receive any more packages that are coming to us due to the short time we have left over here. Once again, I really appreciate all your support and I hope everyone back home is doing well. Mike | ||
|
New Jersey Cares, Thank you so much for the gift packages we have received. We are serving at a small outpost with no PX or stores to buy hygeine goods or snacks. Support of organizations like yours is critical and so appreciated. We place all the items out in our MWR for soldiers to take as they need and they are a huge hit!! Thank you so much for your contributions, prayers, and support. We are always excited to see what goodies we have in your boxes. Kyle
|
Mr. Blackwelder & Mr. Cunningham, On behalf of my unit, I want to thank you and Operation Jersey Cares for the awesome care package I received today and promptly shared with my Soldiers. Thank you for taking the time to show your appreciation! You certainly brought a smile to our faces today. Please share my gratitude to all those at OJC. Especially the kids who wrote and drew their thoughts on colorful paper. Everything you sent will go to great use. Take care. Respectfully, Scott

| Mr. Blackwelder, I wanted to take a moment to send this email and let you know again how much we have appreciated the thoughts, support and prayers from you and all of Operation Jersey Cares. The packages that everyone has so kindly collected up, packaged and sent have been used by more than 200 people here at our base. Given our good fortune of operating and running the aid station here, we have had a place where it has been know that Operation Jersey Cares sends packages which are available to all in our main area so we have often been visited by soldiers just coming in for those "one or two items" that they can use which you have sent. As time has moved along we are now looking at the time when our deployment will be complete just around the corner. While it has been a long year away from home, people such as yourselves have repeatedly made us proud to be over here doing our part for our country as you have shown your support all along. Thank you again for everything. Sincerely, Ken | ||
| Bob, We received the care packages from your organization. We also received the newspapers. Thank you for your support. Rodriquez | ||
| Bob, Got your care package yesterday. Thanks for your continued support. Drew | ||
| My name is Rusty I work with John. He received the packages today with all the things you sent and distributed them to the team. I would like to personally thank you for your time and expense in sending these items to John. He handed them about to the Marines on the team and it was very much appreciated and will all be put to very good use. Your support to us means a lot and it has a tremendous impact on the moral of the men. If you need anything from us please let us know and we will do our best to help.
Rusty | ||
| Sir, My name is Jim. We are very secluded. That is why we really appreciate the packages that your organization sent to all of us. We understand and thank you for taking time away from your families and busy schedules to think of all of us here. It feels good to know that we are not forgotten. Thank you all from the Team. Jim | ||
|
My name is Carla. Well I just want to send out a huge thank you for all the fantastic boxes you sent out to me that I've shared with my medics. The generosity of Jersey Cares is unbelievable. I can't tell you how much these items have meant to boost our attitudes and they remind us that people back home do care about what we are doing here. Many of the items in the boxes will be used for the children as well. We frequently do medical missions in the area and the Beanie Babies and candy will be well received there by the children who have basically nothing. Our station has a plan to get us all together at some point to take a picture and send to your organization. Please share this letter of thanks to all involved.
Sincerely, Carla | ||
|
To All, I am writing this short email to give great thanks for your support and your gifts. I am deployed and recently received a package from you full of goodies such as music, food, beanie babies and a fantastic pillow case made from one of the children in the area. In fact, two packages came to my place of work. It really is a fantastic feeling to know that we have such support back in the United States even despite all of the difficult times throughout the county. I can honestly say that your support, your time and money spent as well as the goodies sent make an incredible difference to us and have lifted our spirits in times when we are otherwise missing home and our families. We will continue to do our best out there for everyone back home. Thank you. Sincerely, Kenneth
|
To the Volunteers and all those who make the operation possible, Thank you for the care packages. Of course special thanks to the children who are making the pillow cases. If they wonder why we don't reply back it's simply because of a lack of time and energy. Once again, thank you for all your sacrifice of time and energy to provide the care packages. Happy Holidays! John
|
Hi my name Freddy and I would like to thank your organization for all the goodies that you have sent us while we are here. Merry Christmas and have a safe Happy Holiday.
Freddy | ||
|
Hello once again, Thank you so much! A very large and heavy box arrived today and we have found some units that are on some more remote and primitive locations that will truly appreciate everything in them. We continue to spread the wealth as much as we can and encourage the soldiers on the base to tell us what they need or may want. This base has a large storage room and it is well organized with supplies. We are able to really see what we have and now that we found others in need we can help them too. Thanks again. Bless you all for doing this and making our soldiers more comfortable and encouraged by the knowledge of your support from back home. Carol
|
I wanted to extend a warm thank you to all of the folks at Operation Jersey Cares.
They sent their 3rd mass package to me for the 4th of July which included 4 boxes with an average weight of 40 pounds. Their sole purpose is to help out soldiers overseas with care packages. They provide everything from goodies to DVD's to deodorant to toothpaste to playing cards. This is truly a noble cause and I am very grateful to them, as are over 100 troops that I work with.
Kurt | ||
| Hi to all the hard workers at jersey cares, I wanted to let you know my son Tommy just got back from Iraq safely. He appreciated all you sent him. At Christmas he felt special. Thanks to all. Patti | ||
| We received 3 Operation Jersey Cares packages from the previous unit before us. It means a lot and is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much. We set up a big table and put everything on it for all to see and choose from.
Shea | ||
|

The weather here is getting hot so, the Soldiers are enjoying the V-8 juice and the snacks you've sent. It means a lot to each and everyone of us that all of you took the time to send us something from home. Thanks again. Karen
| Thank you for the boxes of goodies, everybody got to share some!! I'm sorry that I have not thanked you sooner but as you know things here can get exciting at times!! I've been reassigned for the rest of my time here. Thank you again for thinking of me.
John | ||

| Mr. Yuzuik, Doug here writing to thank yu for the thoughtful gift package you sent. It arrived here yesterday. It was neat to see the Jersey Cares Operation, especially since all the Jerseyboys in my squadron look out for one another, we all know who each other is and what exit each other is from. Again, thank you so much for being part of such a great organization like Jersey Cares. I find it especially neat, and for sending out some material that helps the days go by. To say they've read until the ink is worn off would be an understatement. And most of all, thank you for thinking of us. Doug | ||
| Dear Terry & Bob, Three of the boxes have arrived already. We also got the letters from the 7th and 8th graders. They were so sweet and some were hysterical. The Soldiers got a great laugh out of some of them. Thank you so much for thinking about us. All of the things sent are going to good use. Jenn | ||
| Thanks for your support of our military, it really means a lot to us! Mark | ||

Cherylann, I want to thank you and all the rest of the people at Operation Jersey Cares for the work you put into sending packages to our soldiers. My grandson Peter received the package you sent to him and he and his buddies are very happy with all the things we put into the box for them. They are very glad to know that they are not forgotten in this faraway place. Thanks for your efforts to make them feel so good. John
|
To All Involved With Operation Jersey Cares, I am writing to thank you for the care packages we received this week with DVDs, popcorn, V-8 drinks, paperback books, toiletries, etc. The service men and service women stationed at this air base greatly benefit from your kindness and thoughtfulness. May God bless all of you for your patriotism and your support of the men and women who are sacrificing themselves to preserve and protect the freedom we enjoy and so often take for granted. Seng
|
Everyone, We received a care package a couple days ago containing lots of books and V-8 fruit juice. My team appreciates the kind gesture and are quick to share it with other soldiers on the. I believe it was signed by Joe. It means a great deal for people to take time to do things like this, especially when they do not even know the soldiers they are supporting. Once again thank you for the care package and taking the time to support the troops. It really does make a difference and we remember those who do it. God bless your operation and those involved in it. Bobby
| Thanks for the care packages that were recently sent. The arrival of the "Operation Jersey Cares" packages brightens up our day. Thanks for all you do to support us while deployed. It really does make a difference!
Thanks, Ken | ||
|
Operation Jersey Cares, Thank you for everything!!!! I could not believe my eyes when I returned from leave and found all these boxes!!! Everyone loved the popcorn!!!! As our deployment comes to an end, I just want to let you know that everything you have done for us has brought an incredible amount of smiles to my Soldier's faces. Thank you so very much! I hope all is well with you. Thank you again. Guy
| Hi, Thank you once again, we all appreciated the package and the thought - it is encouraging to know we have support back home! Cecilia | ||
|
To Operation Jersey Cares, I would like to extend a large "Thank You" from all the members of my team! We have just relieved the last team and we were "supplied" with one of your care packages as they departed. Thank you for your support. We truly appreciate it. Edwin
|
Dear Mr. Yuzuik and Supports of Operation Jersey Cares, I am writing to thank you for once again supporting the soldiers of the currently serving in. Thank you, for taking time out of your busy day-to-day lives to show your support. Our troops were very pleased to see the snacks, basic necessities and various items expressing your support for them. The amount of time and work you all must have spent putting the care packages together is a sacrifice that shows you truly care about our troops. Again, thank you. Your unwavering support will be remembered not only by me but also by the soldiers of for many years to come. Sincerely, Brian
|
Dear Bob, Terry and all the good people of Operation Jersey Cares I have received the latest 3 large care packages you sent to me at the hospital. On behalf of the many servicemen and servicewomen who will benefit from your generosity and kindness, I thank you very much for those packages and all the many others you have sent since I arrived. Food items are generally placed in our break room for staff and patients. Toiletries are placed in our patient supply area for patient use. Other items are given to our "donations sergeant" who distributes items received by way of a bi-weekly "Swap Meet" outside the hospital which serves the entire base community of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and civilian contractors. I am confident that the younger enlisted servicemembers especially appreciate receiving needed items since they generally have less money and also because our Marine Corps Exchange does not have many things for sale. We will always remember the thoughtfulness of individuals such as yourselves. God bless you and thank you all for your service, past, present and future. Seng
|
Thanks for all that you have done and I know you will continue to do for Soldiers, Marines, Airman and Seaman. Have a happy Easter! Stuart
| Just received TWO more packages, including the one with your personal note, today.
Thanks so much! Having 2-ply toilet paper is a luxury beyond words.
I have so many snacks, toiletries, CDs, DVDs that I am sharing it among the crew.
Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone at Jersey Cares. Peter
|
Just a note to say "Thank You" for all that you do.
I received some items from a care package we received from "Operation Jersey Cares"
and wanted to express my thanks. It was greatly appreciated. Daniel
| I want to thank you for the three packages you all sent out here!
All the gifts and items were received in great condition and were really appreciated.
Some items that made our "fastest-to-go" list were coffee, sunflower seeds,
the superman birthday card, pain relievers and eyedrops.
I was also asked to say thanks for all the womens' hygiene items.
The ladies here appreciated them very much.
I also intend to write a few students back for their Valentine's Day cards, so thanks for those as well.
Finally, thanks for caring. The days go by fast, but it still feels like we're gone so long.
It's awesome to see that people notice.
Thanks again and God bless you, your family and that wonderful organization. Felipe
| Dear Operation Jersey Cares, I can't thank you enough for your continued efforts in supporting our Soldiers during this difficult time. It's great to know that there are great Americans who go out of their way to let Soldiers know they are appreciated and cared for. I should tell you that I'm extremely proud of these young Soldiers in our unit. We are spread out in different locations with junior leaders taking charge and achieving great accomplishments daily. We provide medical logistics support at these locations in the form of medical supplies and the maintenance of medical equipment. These Soldiers truly believe in customer support and taking care of other Soldiers. Again, thank you very much for all the care packages you've sent and especially the personal time you set aside to support the Soldiers who spend so much time away from their loved ones. Thank you for your support, James | ||
| I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your organization for the care package.
The movies and music are greatly appreciated along with all the snacks. Again thank you so much.
I can't begin to tell you the feeling a Soldier has when a box shows up and it's addressed for all
Soldiers to enjoy, from people that don't even know them. We have several Soldiers here that are
young and single that receives little mail from home. Care packages like the one we just received
are a joy for those Soldiers. Again I can't thank you enough for all kindness and caring you hae shown. Joe
| To all, I want to thank you for the incredible care package that you sent to my unit. There was just so many goodies, from the DVD's to CD's to candy to cereal to the hygiene products. Thank you so very much, it was like Christmas in March! My Soldiers went crazy dipping into the boxes, and fighting over who got what. Thank you for all you do in the support of the Soldiers here. You made a lot of Soldiers smile yesterday. Thank you for everything you do, Guy | ||
| Operation Jersey Cares, I'm writing to inform you that I received your package full of Valentines Day Cards from the second grade students. The Soldiers enjoyed these cards so much and wanted me to send you a collective THANK YOU note for thinking of us. I can't thank you enough, on behalf of all of the Soldiers that I represent here, for your kindness. The Soldiers here are grateful that complete strangers from back home appreciate them so much. Know that the children made our Valentines day special by taking time our to think about us. Just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks for your thoughtfulness. We appreciate it more than you know. Thanks again, Jennifer | ||
| Hello Boys and Girls my name is Corporal Randy Banks and I am a United States Marine.
I just wanted to take some time out and thank you all for the beautiful Valentines Day cards that you guys sent out to my Marines and I.
We could not thank you enough and it makes us feel very proud knowing that we have people such as you supporting us and sending nice letters
to help keep our minds off of things. If there is anything that me or my guys can do for you just ask and we will work on making it happen.
Thank you again for the cards it really made our day. Cpl. Banks
| To Support Our Troops Gang, This note is one of thanks and appreciation for sending Michael (our grandson) a package. He has also expressed his appreciation through this email. Sincerely, Barbara | ||
| NJ Cares, Thanks for your continued support. It is great to know you care. Bob | ||
| Dear Mr. Dorell, I would like to thank you and all of your wonderful volunteers for the great packages that you have been so very kind to send! What you are doing is such an uplifting thing for us! You are great Americans! Thank you, Charlie | ||
| To The Folks at Operation Jersey Cares, Thanks for the nice large box of goodies and useful items you sent to me. I appreciate your support of me and the thousands of other service members here in I serve with each day. We need and appreciate all your support. Thanks! Your generosity with your time and resources is very refreshing and really lifts the spirit of those far from their families this Thanksgiving/Christmas season. Sincerely, Mark | ||
|
Dear John, First off I would like to send my deepest thanks for your support. To date I have received four packages from Operation Jersey Cares, and everything your organization has sent has been great. All of my men send their sincerest thanks as well. It is very hard to be away from family and friends, but when we know that people back in the states still support what we are doing over here it makes it a lot easier to deal with. I am hoping you can help me out with passing on this letter to some students who sent me letters. The only address I could find was the one left on the package, but I figured the least I could do is respond to these great Americans to let them know how much I appreciate their support and answer some of their questions. Thanks again for all of your support!!! Sincerely, Peter
| Operation Jersey Cares, Thank you. I received your package today and the well wishes for a happy holiday. I appreciate the kind thoughts and all the items to help make things better here. Christmas Eve dinner is always there at my moms. I won't be there this year but am looking forward to some perogies next year. Rick | ||
| I would like to thank all the people involved in shipping the care packages to me.
It's good to know that the people of New Jersey have not forgotten the soldiers here. Again, thank you for your support. John
| To The Good People at Operation Jersey Cares, I just wanted to express my gratitude for the generous care packages your organization has sent. To receive any gifts at all from people I have never met is a blessing. But to receive them as often and indeed as much, as I have received from you is something else entirely. Since I left Virginia I have been awed by the magnanimity of complete strangers from picked up checks to free drinks to boxes of halloween candy from school children with teeth no doubt sweeter then my own. People have gone out of their way to undertake acts of kindness, small and large. I cannot possibly eat or consume all that you have sent, so I share it with the guys in my squad. Though we are an infantry company we do have a number of female troops attached to our unit, and a good number more in the same living area so the items you sent for female soldiers were not mailed in vain. Again, I thank you for all your generosity and for thinking of us at the time of year when home seems furthest away. Best, Russell | ||
|
Dear Operation Jersey Cares, Thanks so very much for the 5 large boxes of care items. The canned chilli, granola bars and toilet items were a big hit with the guys. It is pleasing to know that there is an organization back home that appreciates the efforts of the soldiers of. I have sent a letter and some photos of soldiers receiving some of the care items through the postal system. You should receive it soon. Again thanks so very much. May God Bless America, Keevin
|
I just wanted to confirm for you that I received the last package of goods. I will be distributing them to soldiers working at the and soldiers who come in to for care. As you know, your contributions are always appreciated.
Stuart | ||
|
This week I received more packages with reading material and greeting cards from children.
Please thank the children for me. We appreciate the children taking time to make those cards and express their support.
They won't each get a personal thank you note but I want them to know that they are all very special.
It is our privilege and honor to serve them and keep them free and safe. God bless all of you. In God's Love, Seng
|
Thank you for the many packages we have received in recent weeks.
We appreciate all that you and your associates are doing to support our troops overseas.
Let the people involved in Operation Jersey Cares know that we are thankful for their help
. We also thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts and I can assure you that we all want to return safely! In God's Love, Seng
|
Everyone, I wanted to thank you very much for teh care packages you've sent. I attempted to send a letter back to one of you (hopefully you received it) but until today's package I did not have a mailing address for you. Now that I do I will be sure to thank you properly. You were kind enough to include letters from middle school children. I believe from, and I was curious if you might have a mailing address for their school so that I might respond. Thank you again for your generosity and your support. Best, Russel
|
Operation Jersey Cares, This is Jimmy and I just wanted to thank you for all of the packages you sent my way. I’m home now in America, the other Marines very much appreciated the various candy, food, magazines etc that you sent. Hope all is well with you and thank you. Jimmy |

OJC I just received your care package yesterday and shared it with everyone in my office. Everyone truly enjoy the items that where included. The care package put a nice big smile on all of our faces!! We all are currently stationed at here in . While we have things good here compared too many of our brothers and sisters who are here in it is a nice reminder from the people back in the states are thinking of us and is always wonderful. Once more we thank you all for thinking of us and keeping all service members in your prayers. Eric |
||

Hello! Thank you for caring. We need and appreciate all the great things you send us. Respectfully, Naomi |
||
|
Dear Operation Jersey Cares, Thank you so much for your support of . I was delighted to see three large packages in the mail. Your hard work and concern for the soldiers of is greatly appreciated. A soldier is limited on how efficient he can perform his duties without the help and support from family, friends and organizations like Operation Jersey Cares. Again this is just a note to say Thank You for your help, support and concern. In the near future I will be sending some photographs in the mail of soldiers receiving care items. Our computer system is very limited and sending photos through e-mail is very difficult. God Bless America Keevin
|
Operation Jersey Cares, Thank you for the recent package I received from your organization. While I nearly injured myself caring the 50 lbs box, it was very much appreciated by myself and the rest of the Section. You will be glad to know that the tiny stuffed soccer balls have come in very handy in targeting fellow workers in the shop. It’s always good to get a taste of home and know that people, especially fellow veterans, still realize there is a war going on here in which doesn’t get the front page press coverage. Again, thank you for all your support. Sincerely, Rob
| Dear Operation Jersey Cares, Thanks so much for your support of . Here are some photos of the soldiers opening the care package. It is good that an organization cares so much for the soldiers of . Thanks again for your support. Keevin | ||
| Thanks so much for all your letters and support. is not that bad and luckily the temperature is going down so it isn’t 120F anymore.
All of my men are doing well but, they work hard and are tired.
It really helps to get letters from home and to hear that people appreciate what we are doing over here. Thanks again for your support. Sincerely, Peter
|
Thank you so much for putting us in your thoughts during this tough time for us all. We need your support and are very appreciative. Your caring gifts will accommodate us through our deployment and will prepare us for our journey home. Your gifts were especially important because they were sent by previous defenders of freedom. We were all touched and will hopefully continue in your footsteps when we have the chance. Thank you again and please continue to support and your nations greatest service men and women.
Can’t thank you enough. David
|
Got another big box from NJ Cares. Have distributed to other guys. Thanks it is great. Robert
